My practice specializes in treating children, adolescents, young adults and families. My approach is grounded in attachment, developmental and systems theories, is focused on strengths, and is trauma-informed. I have a background in the arts (former elementary music teacher), which helps me to bring a creative orientation, and lively energy to this process. In addition to more traditional “talk therapy” approaches, therapy may include music, movement and mindfulness practice. Parent involvement and family sessions are encouraged, as change is most supported in the context of the whole family.
I offer services to help with a variety of concerns, including:
- Mood Disorders including Depression and Anxiety
- Disruptive, Impulse-Control Disorders including Oppositional Defiant Disorder
- Adjustment to life changes such as divorce
- Trauma
- Parenting and Co-Parenting Support
- Family Therapy
- Substance Abuse
- Young Adult Life Transitions
